WE HAVE CHARTERED

18th November 2004 was Speak Easy @ Martlesham's third meeting and it didn't take us long to realise that we have hit on a goldmine. People from everywhere want to learn what we have to offer! Last night we gained the additional 7 members we needed in order to Charter the club and become a full fledged member of Toastmasters International.

We will be planning a special Charter Dinner and this will be announced in the very near future. A lot of support and guidance from our fellow Toastmaster Clubs in the Area has enabled us to meet the goals we set at the beginning of this journey. Our journey did not take as long as we anticipated but it is not over yet - we have only just begun!

-------------------------
The second demonstration night on the 4th November was another great success!

22 guests and 21 members from other Toastmasters clubs burst through the doors at the new Speak Easy @ Martlesham club. The guests soon became involved and were hooked. An additional FIVE guests reached for their cheque books and signed-up on the night! That means that we now have a total of 15 permanent members in the club - just a few more needed to help us reach Charter Status!

Put a note in your diary for Thursday 18th November and come and see what Speak Easy @ Martlesham is all about.
