Building a New Club

How to Build a New Club and Increase and Maintain Membership

On 14th May 2005, Teresa Dukes and Jim Hegarty performed a workshop on the above topic. If you are interested in knowing more about how to build a club, have a look at the attached documents. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at the number listed or via email. (teresa.dukes@bt.com or hegartyjames@eircom.net)

These documents are here to provide you with information on how things worked for us and is by now means a 'must follow' document. Please take away what is useful to you.

Start planning, networking and organising your core Action Team and remember that you don't have to have everything totally sorted to launch that demo night - As Ted Corcoran used to say 'sometimes you have to build the wings on the way down' . I hope the results will inspire more people to believe in themselves and take that leap of faith!

Helpful documents which you can use and adjust for your own new club:

How to Build a New Club and Increase and Maintain Membership
Speak Easy 3-fold leaflet
Guest Pack for Demo Night
How to Join Poster for Demo Night
Action Plan for Starting a New Club

Many thanks to all who helped contribute to these documents and the brainstorming sessions undertaken to make Speak Easy a success!

If you need more information, advice or some words of encouragement then we're here to help. We know the effort that's required to get a club up and running ... we also know the satisfaction, personal development and fun that's at the end of the tunnel !!!
